We offer best in class TAN Reduction - EH Oil Filtration System (Phosphate Ester Fluids) used widely in Control System (Governing System) of Steam Turbines and Gas Turbines. These have been developed in India by Petrolabs with collaberation from USA. These systems have worked good in performance at various power plants in India. Now, these are being exported to other Middle East markets as well.

This system is used to purify EH and EHC oil in generator equipment. It can remove acid from EH oil which results in an acid value < 0.08. Oil cleanliness will be between NAS5 & NAS 6.

The imported filtration system is built with steel housings and has 3 stage filtrations. First stage/vessel will remove the water, second stage removes the acids and the third stage removes any particulates as part of the fine filtration. 

The system has a pump with Viton seals of 20 LPM. Filter elements used are special purpose filters that are imported from USA. The particular acid removal filter element is made up of ionic resin. We also have the capability of adding extra resin on-site if required to maintain/reduce the desired TAN values. 

Petrolabs has developed high-end filteration machines for the filtration of hydraulic oils. These machines are designed to run 24/7 unattended with very little maintenance required. They are reliable, easy to operate, and can achieve oil cleanliness of ISO 14/12/09 or NAS 3 within 24-48 hours of running only.

High Velocity Flushing by Petrolabs begins by preparing the system for a high velocity flush. We remove all restrictions to flow (using an external flush pump and filter). The oil is then flushed through the lube oil system at approximately 8 times its normal flow rate. Pushing the oil at this high speed removes scale build up and particulate matter from the piping and flushes it back to the main oil reservoir where we then filter. Thermal shocks to the system will greatly enhance the cleaning process. The high velocity flush is for the purpose of cleaning the system. Clean oil is simply a by-product of that process that eliminates the need to replace the old turbine oil or the disposal of that oil there by saving thousands of dollars plus the peace of mind in knowing that you have a cleaner system and clean oil that meets OEM cleanliness specs.

Petrolabs follows the industry best practice for adhering to OEM oil system cleanliness specifications. We use auxiliary pumps and jumpers to by-pass integral components of a lubricating system. This process rapidly removes contaminants from your machine’s fluid systems.

Vacuum Dehydration

Vacuum dehydration eliminates water and gas contamination that can lead to severe damage to system components. When hydrocarbons become saturated in oil, this can lead to major safety concerns. Petrolabs uses the most up to date technologies to safely and efficiently remove these contaminants. Water and gas contamination in equipment can cause severe damage to machine parts like bearings and hydraulics and can cause safety concerns when hydrocarbons are saturated in the oil.Petrolabs will safely and efficiently remove these water and gas contaminants.
